Junior Frontend Developer

Solo Quant provides predictive analytics for the financial sector. We're building a proprietary platform that processes large volumes of market data in real time and supports decision-making in low-visibility scenarios. On the technology side, our focus is on high-availability systems, precise data processing, and scalable infrastructure.

• Build new features, improve and maintain existing ones.
• Work from ready, well-documented API endpoints.
• Build data-rich interfaces: charts, tables, and an events calendar with time zone and geolocation handling.
• Create responsive, mobile-friendly experiences.
• Design independently or collaborate with our designer, depending on the task.
• Track down and fix bugs.
• Turn requests from other teams into practical, creative technical solutions.

• Confident with TypeScript, React, Next.js, HTML, CSS, and Git.
• Solid English for reading documentation and communicating with external partners, in writing and verbally.
• Comfortable building with AI coding tools, and disciplined about reviewing and correcting what they produce.
• A self-starter.
• A structured thinker who cares about building reliable software.
• A high bar for how well your solution works and how easy it is to update later.
• A high bar for UX.
• A sharp eye for detail.
• The judgment to flag a blocker early.

We don't expect years of experience or production projects behind you. A solid GitHub profile, or a walkthrough of something you built and are proud of, is enough, and no prior finance or market knowledge is needed, just curiosity.

• Hands-on, routine use of Claude Code or similar AI development tools.
• Experience building with a charting or data-table library.
• Familiarity with animation libraries.
• Knowledge of frontend performance optimization and SEO.
• Familiarity with AWS.
• Experience turning Figma designs into working interfaces.
• Any data-rich interface you've built and can show us.
• Understanding of accessibility fundamentals.
• Mobile app development experience, a plus for where we're headed.
